The nearest of the Dartmoor Tors is Easdon Tor and is less than two miles from Manor Court so walks really can start from the doorstep. The surroundings are not all windswept and wild however – there are also many wooded walks to be discovered.

Exeter is only 16 miles away should any retail therapy be required.

Although a little further away, the much acclaimed Eden Project should be visited whilst in the South West; it is just a pleasant hour and a half drive away, down the A30.
